  • Oregon Family Child Care Scholarship

AFSCME CCPT negotiated half a million dollars ($700,000) for training scholarships for Licensed Family Child Care Providers in our most recent contract.

You can use the links on this page to access more information and to apply.

This scholarship program is for ALL family child care providers whose names are on their family child care licenses. It can't be used by staff :( at this time. And it is not available to exempt providers (those who are NOT licensed) nor is it able to be used by centers.

This money is available until it runs out (and we negotiate additional funds). It is also available on a first-come-first-awarded basis until it runs out, meaning that some providers may not get funds (if they wait too long).

ONLINE Scholarship APPLICATION Click BELOW ==>

    Paper Application   https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mE_Y2UQH6WQ0db1Dop2Ki3vDKgFbUEt1/view

You can use the scholarships to pay for:

    • Community College credits or at any Oregon College/University
    • Set 2 or Set 3 classes with an ORO-Approved Sponsoring Organization like our union, CCR&R, PRO, ORAEYC
    • Conferences & Cohorts
    • The CDA test
    • The ORIMHA endorsement process
    • National NAFCC Accreditation
    • National NAEYC or NAFCC Conferences

If you have any questions, please contact Anneliese 971-204-9110 or ccpt.trainer.anneliese@gmail.com

You DO NOT need to be an AFSCME member to use these funds -- but you MUST be the license-holder of an RF or CF here in Oregon.

    * NOTE: If you don't qualify for the John and Betty Gray Scholarship, you could STILL qualify for this one -- you won't know until you try so apply today!
